Preparing my visit to Bit 2013 I was really excited: which new places would I discover, strolling around? Hidden stories to tell about always come from talking directly with local people and you know for sure this is not what you can find in a Fair. But this time I had to change my mind. Some years ago I visited a couple of international Expos, Sevilla and Lisbon. I still have in my eyes the images and visions of the countries present there with their own pavillions. Some of them recreated a natural habit with plants, trees, animals, sounds of the forest, some other built a typical village, but each of them gave a strong impression of their land to the millions of people gathered to taste, live and imagine a real holiday experience.
So what about tourism fairs: are they still useful? Do we still need to sell tourism or better we should sell stories?

Experiencing Puglia with Puglia Events

This is my answer. Roberta is a sweet and energic girl from Puglia. I met her in Genoa for a blogger meeting, not so surprisingly, she was in Puglia stand! So when she saw me strolling around, she caught me and took me in front of a desk, put an apron on and introduced me to Dina, the Queen of Orecchiette. “Com’on, it’s time to learn Puglia!”.

And this is the real deal. Do we really know what we eat? For sure now I know what’s behind orecchiette: Puglia hard wheat, very well milled, pure water, good hands and a wonderful thumb!
Cooking with Dina and the other bloggers was a real fun, everyone concentrate on following instructions, observing and learning from each other and listening to Dina stories (by the way she is an incredible story teller!).
Centuries of Puglia food in our hands and then, at the end in our mouths!

But what I liked most wasn’t the tasting experience but the making that passionate us all about this food and this region.
The final result!

From Puglia to Rome

With love! Quite a weird itinerary to visit Italy and even not so easy to do. Italy can be travelled from north to south but also from the east coast to the west coast. Discovered I would say! These two stories have something in common: both came from two friends who involved me!
Alessandra is one of my digital friends. We met phisically for the first time in Bit and suddenly we got in empathy, sharing a very exclusive tasting experience on an undiscovered region near Rome: Colline Romane!
Sounds romantic, don’t you think? Meeting at 8.30 pm at Terza Carbonaia, a typical Milan restaurant where Stefano of Antica Fontana (Grottaferrata, Rome) had invited only 15 people (thanks Alessandra for getting the invitation) to taste artichokes, and some other roman food!

Broad beans eaten with Pecorino!

Roman Hills are not ROME! Fabiana, press officer, was really very clear! ” A Rome around Rome”, this is the claim you can find in their website, www.collineromane.it and also what she, Antonino, Stefano and all the other friends story told us while eating. Pecorino cheese with broad beans, “Nervetti” with onions (calf little nerves cooked with salt and pepper), “Rigatoni”, and roman artichokes. And now enjoy!

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up
what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any helpful hints for novice blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
